CeramTec at the UIA Symposium for the Fifth Consecutive Year
We are once again proud to be a sponsor of the UIA Symposium (Salt Lake City, April 20–22) — for the fifth consecutive year. The international specialist event brings together leading experts in industrial and medical ultrasonics and provides an ideal platform for technical exchange on topics such as transducer design, materials selection, and reliability under real-world operating conditions.
Technical Talk: Lead-Free Materials for Medical Ultrasonic Applications
A particular highlight is the technical presentation by Chris Watson, Product Manager Piezoceramic Sensors & Transducers at CeramTec: “Comparing a range of lead-free materials in ultrasonic Langevin transducers suitable for autoclaving and disposable devices relevant to the medical sector.”
The talk examines the material trade-offs of lead-free piezoelectric stacks in Langevin architectures, with a focus on sterilization compatibility (autoclaving) as well as the requirements for single-use and disposable medical devices — areas where performance, process robustness, and long-term reliability are equally critical.
